Katie Holmes Defends Suri’s High Heel Fetish
We’ve all seen the pictures of three-year-old Suri Cruise jet-setting around various cities, and when she’s not being carried on the hip of one of her parents, she’s walking around in high heels. “Access Hollywood” caught up with Katie Holmes at the Dizzy Feet charity event on Sunday to see what the deal is with Suri’s controversial footwear and Katie, not seeming worried about her child’s podiatric health, defended the shoes.
“She, like every little girl – she loves my high heels. They are actually ballroom dancing shoes for kids,” Katie explained. “I found them for her and she loves them.” We’re still suspicious and worried for Suri’s tootsies - just because you can dance in them doesn’t mean you should wear them all the time. There is nothing wrong with her wearing heels. When little girls wear the plastic barbie heels everywhere, but no one ever says anything about that. That is because nobody cares unless its TomKats kid.

Little girls love the same things girls of all ages love, the joy of a good, comfortable pair of high heels. Let Suri sport what she wants to wear, fashion is definetly in her future. And there’s always time to wear flats or run around in the sand or plush carpet in bare feet.

First of all, ya’ll are all being a lil ignorant. Do you kno that allowing lil girls to wear heel shoes at a young age can later mess up their kidney !!!!…also, adults who wear high heels run the risk of shortening their achilles tendons. The results could be worse for a child, who has a lot of years of growth ahead of her. It could shorten the growth of her achilles tendon while her bones and muscles grow.

My little girl ALWAYS wants to wear “beautiful” shoes, as she calls them. Leave that little three-year old alone!!! Media makes famous people crazy even if they are not…Again she is 3!!! All three-year old girls want to be princesses!!

I don’t see the problem. If they start hurting her feet, she won’t want to wear them anymore. Until that happens, let her have fun! I’m actually impressed….I’d break my ankle trying to walk around in those! lol

Why does anyone care? It’s their kid, not the media, and especially not yours. Worry about your own kids and leave other people alone. It’s not like their beating her or anything.
